Nepal Engineering Council Introduces New Engineer License Certificate Format
The Nepal Engineering Council has implemented a new format for engineers’ name registration certificates (licenses) with additional security features. According to the Council’s recent decision, the previous certificate format has been revised.
The new certificate has been issued in accordance with the decision made at the Council meeting held on 2082 Chaitra 25 and the provisions of the Fourth Amendment (2082) to the Nepal Engineering Council Regulations, 2057.
The Council stated that the earlier format was changed and additional secure and modern features were incorporated in line with the amendments made to Schedules 7, 8, and 9 of the regulations.
According to the notice published by the Council, this certificate with new security features has officially come into effect from 2083 Baishakh 7, Monday. Compared to the certificates issued earlier, the new certificate appears to include digital security features and a refined design.
The Council said that this step has been taken to make the regulation of the engineering sector more effective and to ensure the authenticity of the certificate.
Established under the Nepal Engineering Council Act, 2055, this body has been carrying out the registration and regulation of engineers across the country. With the implementation of the new certificate, newly registered engineers will now receive the certificate in the updated format.
