New Vice Chancellor of Tribhuvan University Commits to Reform

Newly appointed Vice Chancellor of Tribhuvan University (TU), Prof. Dr. Deepak Aryal, has expressed his readiness to dedicate himself full-time, 24 hours a day, as needed, for the betterment of the university.

After taking the oath of office and secrecy at the Prime Minister’s residence, he assumed office on Wednesday, Ashad 25, 2082.

While assuming his role in the presence of other TU officials and departmental heads, Vice Chancellor Aryal stated his commitment to working in a manner that upholds the dignity and reputation of the university.

He acknowledged that Tribhuvan University has been facing complications due to varying demands from different interest groups and emphasized that he is aware of this emerging narrative.

“I will personally hold dialogue with each dissatisfied group one by one,” Aryal said. “However, university reform cannot happen all at once. I will work in a way that delivers visible results within three to four months.”

As the TU Assembly is scheduled for Thursday, Aryal officially assumed his duties on Wednesday evening.
