Patan High Court Allows Reattempt of Language Test for EPS Korea Ship Building Workers

Kathmandu, December 21, 2023 – In a significant decision, the Patan High Court has ruled in favor of workers in the shipbuilding industry, allowing them to reattempt the language proficiency test EPS Korea, a key requirement for employment in the manufacturing sector.

Previously, the regulation stipulated that individuals who failed the language test specific to shipbuilding work were barred from applying for manufacturing sector jobs. This restriction led to a legal challenge by a group of 18 workers against the Employment Permit System (EPS).
