Preparations for the 2078 Secondary Education Examination (SEE) have reached the final stage. This is the first time the Covid-19 epidemic has been tested. SEE exam is starting from 9th Baishakh 2079 (22nd April 2022).

Earlier, after the transmission of Covid-19 increased, SEE was done twice through internal evaluation. According to Arjun Bahadur Rayamajhi, Controller of Examinations (Class 10) of the National Examination Board, work is underway to give orientation to the Central Chairperson of the examination at the district level. Necessary question papers, answer sheets and other materials for the examination have been delivered to the concerned districts. This year, examinations will be conducted in 2,007 centers across the country.

Most centers will be in Kathmandu; Where 120 centers are designated. The lowest number of centers is in Manang. There is only one examination center in Manang. This year, five lakh 14 thousand 760 candidates will be participating in the examination, of which four lakh 88 thousand 742 are participating in the regular stream, 14 thousand 564 on the technical stream, and 11 thousand 454 in the grade promotion side.

From this year, the Ministry of Education has removed the provision that candidates have to complete 14 years of age to participate in SEE. He said, “The new rules have made it easier for some candidates this year. We expect two to three hundred test takers to benefit from this arrangement. ”

From this year, the ministry has made an arrangement to bring a minimum of 35 percent marks in both theoretical and experimental. In the past, even the candidates who could not get even the minimum passing mark on the theoretical side used to get high marks on the experimental side and this would help them to get a higher place in the grading of the overall result.
