Prof. Dr. Ratnamani Gajurel Appointed as Executive Director of Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center (MCVTC)
On 23rd April 2023, Prof. Dr. Ratnamani Gajurel was appointed as the new Executive Director of Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center (MCVTC), under Tribhuvan University Institute of Medical (IoM). The announcement was made by Prof. Dr. Dharmakant Baskota, Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University.
The post had been vacant since the completion of the four-year tenure of Prof. Dr. Uttamakrishna Shrestha on Friday, who had served two consecutive terms of eight years at the center. Dr. Shrestha expressed his confidence in the new director and stated, "During my 8-year tenure, I have taken the Manmohan Center to new heights. It will not be difficult for the new director. From today, the new director will be Prof. Dr. Gajurel, and I have handed over the responsibility to him."
Prof. Dr. Gajurel has previously served as the head of the cardiology department of the center. He holds the distinction of being the first doctor to obtain a DM in cardiology from IOM. With his extensive experience and knowledge, Prof. Dr. Gajurel is expected to steer the center towards further success and progress.
The appointment of Prof. Dr. Gajurel as Executive Director of Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center is expected to bring stability and continuity to the center's operations, and his leadership is anticipated to lead to even greater achievements and advancements in the field of cardiac care.
