Smart Class with Modern Technology Comes Into Operation at Bal Kalyan Secondary School in Lamjung

A smart class with modern technology has been brought into operation at Bal Kalyan Secondary School, located at Bhakunde, Besisahar Municipality–2, Lamjung. The smart class was formally launched by handing over “Huawei Smart Technology” materials during a program organized at the school on Thursday.
The smart class was developed in collaboration with Huawei Nepal, the Chinese Embassy, the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, and Nepal Telecom by installing a digital board and computers in the classroom. During the program, Besisahar Municipality Mayor Guman Singh Aryal handed over a “smart pen” to School Management Committee Chairperson and Ward No. 2 Ward Chair Madan Bahadur Rana, formally transferring the smart class.
The program held at the school also included virtual participation from Huawei Tower in Kathmandu. On the occasion, Huawei Nepal Chief Executive Officer Chester Chen, Economic Consultant Zhu Feng, EdV Senior Education Specialist Jeffrey, and Aarambha School Chairperson Naresh Prasad Shrestha, among others, expressed the view that the smart class would help bring positive change in the education sector.
According to school Principal Bishnu Prasad Baral, Huawei Nepal has provided the school with various technological and physical materials for operating the smart class:
Computers: 10 units
Laptop: 1 unit
Printer: 1 unit
Smart board: 1 unit
Tables: 15 units
In addition, Principal Baral informed that Huawei also supported classroom painting and carpet management.
Huawei has stated that the smart classroom was established under the slogan “In Nepal, For Nepal” with the objective of connecting students in rural areas with information and communication technology. It is believed that the initiative will help transform traditional classrooms into an interactive digital education system and expand students’ access to modern, technology-friendly education.
A live demonstration of the smart teaching system and digital learning software was also conducted during the handover program.
