The Social Development Division Office in Nepalgunj has reported that most of the projects allocated for the fiscal year 2081–82 are being implemented and have reached the final stage of construction.
According to Uddhav Shrestha, Chief of the Social Development Division Office, initial groundwork began in Shrawan–Bhadra, and tenders were called before Dashain. As a result, most projects have progressed to the completion stage within the expected timeframe.
Construction Nearing Final Phase
Chief Shrestha stated, "Most of the projects under our office, covering Banke and Bardiya, are now in the final phase of completion."
The office also informed us that the payment process for some finished projects has already been completed. About 30 percent progress has been made so far, and with construction nearing its final phase, the office is expediting monitoring and payment tasks.
Over 200 Projects Underway
The Social Development Division oversees over 200 projects in the current fiscal year. These primarily include infrastructure for community schools, campuses, and sports grounds.
Although most projects are in the final construction phase, some have experienced delays due to construction sites and land unavailability.
Coordination for Completion
Sanjiv Kumar Mandal, Information Officer and Accounts Officer, stated that coordination and cooperation efforts are ongoing to complete construction by the end of Asar.
Development Budget for 2081–82
The development budget allocated to the Social Development Division Office for Banke and Bardiya in the current fiscal year stands at approximately NPR 320 million.
Government Coordination in Progress
Lumbini Provincial Assembly Member Ratna Khatri said that the Social Development Division Office is coordinating with the provincial and local governments.
