Lamjung, February 10, 2026 [2082 Magh 27].

Students at Lamjung Agriculture Campus in Sundarbazar, Lamjung, have padlocked the campus.

Fourth-semester agriculture students at Lamjung Agriculture Campus, under the Institute of Agriculture and Animal Science, padlocked the campus after objecting to a recently published re-examination schedule.

Students’ objection

Students said the examination schedule published unilaterally by the Dean’s Office on February 8, 2026 [2082 Magh 25] did not consider their preparation time, regular studies, and practical circumstances.

Student leader Nishchal Ghimire said the Dean’s Office and the campus administration ignored their repeated demands and issued the examination schedule arbitrarily, and that the students have serious disagreement with that decision.

Demand stated in the statement

In a statement issued by the students, they said conducting exams without providing the time necessary for regular study is inappropriate.

They demanded that the exam that was scheduled in a way that increases the burden on students be immediately postponed, and said they were forced to padlock the campus because their demands were disregarded.

Information given to concerned bodies

Students have formally informed the Dean’s Office, the campus administration, and the Examination Control Section about the matter.

The statement says that if the concerned bodies do not show seriousness toward resolving the problem and continue to disregard students’ demands, the movement will intensify, and the campus administration and the Dean’s Office will have to take responsibility for it.

Campus Chief Dr. Ramkumar Shrestha said the Dean’s Office has been informed about the students’ demands and that further discussions are ongoing.
