The policy and program of the Sudurpashchim Province Government for the Fiscal Year 2078/89 BS has been presented in the Province Assembly. Province Chief Ganga Prasad Yadav presented the policy and program for the coming fiscal year in the Province Assembly on Thursday. Considering the fact that the Corona epidemic has affected the entire sector including human life, the policies and programs of the province have given top priority to health, infrastructure, industry, and other sectors.
It is mentioned in the policy and program that necessary infrastructure will be prepared to keep the high priority on corona epidemic control and prevention.
The policy and program state that vaccination against corona will be arranged, public health services will be expanded for the treatment of the infected, and separate corona treatment rooms will be set up in each hospital.
It has been stated that all the hospitals of the province will be facilitated by providing additional resources. Similarly, it is mentioned to organize health desks and holding centers at the border.
It is stated that the budget and program for the coming fiscal year will be prepared to solve the problem of unemployment caused by the Corona epidemic. It is mentioned in the policy and program that a grant will be provided from the Province Self-Employment Development Fund to make the unemployed youth self-employed due to Corona.
Proper land management and production will be increased in the province. Similarly, it is mentioned in the policy and program that the Province Industry Master Plan will be prepared for the development of the industry.
It is mentioned in the policy and program that the government of Nepal will be requested to operate big projects like West Seti and programs for tourism development.
In order to attract domestic and foreign investment, emphasis has been laid on the creation of an investment-friendly environment and priority has been given to the budget to complete the big projects of the current Fiscal Year.
It is mentioned in the policy and program that important projects of the province will be implemented by keeping them in the planning bank. Similarly, it has been mentioned that financial literacy campaign will be taken forward to increase access to banks and financial services in the province.
It is mentioned in the policy and program that an awareness campaign will be launched against various evil practices and superstitions prevailing in the province and Dwarika Devi Thakurani women's empowerment campaign will be continued.
It is mentioned that a student recruitment campaign will be launched under the Education for All campaign and the province will be declared a literate province within the next fiscal year.
It has been stated that the Province Agriculture Development Policy will be formulated to make the Province self-reliant in agriculture and to protect the right to food. It is mentioned in the policy and program that the subsidy program for improved seeds and fertilizers will be given to the farmers. Priority will be given to the work of arranging irrigation including lift irrigation.
It is mentioned in the policy and program that the road construction work will be carried out in the province on the basis of the provincial road master plan.
The policy and program state that the protection and development work of sports will be taken forward and special programs will be conducted for the preservation of the culture of the indigenous tribes.
