Tribhuvan University Exam Control Office Offers 10 Online Services

The Examination Control Office at Tribhuvan University (TU) is the central authority responsible for managing and conducting all university examinations. With a commitment to adopting modern technology, the office continually works to enhance its services, making them faster, more efficient, and accessible.

Around 80% of higher education students in Nepal are enrolled at TU. The Exam Control Office plays a vital role in implementing the university's academic calendar and annually serves over 500,000 students by issuing various documents, including:

  • Mark sheets

  • Transcripts

  • Original certificates

  • Registration

  • Migration and other academic services

Despite challenges such as limited resources, lack of technical and skilled personnel, and administrative hurdles, the office continues to modernize service delivery. By prioritizing the needs and expectations of service seekers, the office has advanced the digitalization of services nationwide.

Responsibilities and Priorities

The office ensures secure handling and proper archiving of key academic documents for the majority of higher education students in Nepal. It also maintains confidentiality and sensitivity in the overall examination system.

By successfully implementing the academic calendar, the office has made consistent progress in conducting timely exams and publishing results on schedule.

Guidance from Experts and Stakeholders

Media reports, expert commentary, and suggestions from TU officials, professors, staff, and education professionals have guided the office in refining its services. These inputs have contributed to the successful digital transformation of all essential services.

As a result, students can now access their:

  • TU registration forms

  • Exam application forms

  • Transcripts

  • And other services are available directly online

Online Service Integration and System Advancement

Since 2075 BS, the office has begun offering online convocation forms and utilized TUEIMS technology to provide registration and transcripts (especially for BA and B.Ed programs) in a streamlined manner.

To continue improving access, from 15 Magh 2079 BS, online application forms were made available. Although some interruptions occurred due to technical reasons, the office is now in the final phase of using the new EIMS system.

From 2 Baisakh 2082 BS, the transcript application process through online login has been fully implemented. After successful testing of the online payment system, the following services are available online from 15 Asar 2082 BS:
