Job Opportunity: Gardener at the Embassy of Switzerland in Nepal

The Swiss Embassy in Kathmandu is seeking a dedicated gardener to join their support team. This role is pivotal to maintaining the aesthetics and health of the embassy's gardens and surrounding areas.

Employment Details

  • Duration: 4 years, with the possibility of extension
  • Work Schedule: 5 days a week

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain all garden areas within the embassy compound
  • Develop and manage nursery operations
  • Regularly clean drains and maintain outdoor cleanliness
  • Propose innovative landscaping ideas
  • Cultivate vegetable gardens and manage composting activities
  • Assist with various office tasks as needed

Qualifications

  • SLC/SEE completion with at least 3 years of gardening experience
  • Proficient in English and Nepali languages
  • Preference for candidates with formal training in horticulture or related fields

Skills Required

  • Independent and proactive work ethic
  • Ability to collaborate and enhance team dynamics
  • Knowledge of gender and social diversity issues
  • Experience working with multi-ethnic teams
