HELVETAS Nepal is a Swiss non-governmental organization actively contributing to the improvement of the living conditions of poor and disadvantaged people in Nepal.
The Employment Fund — Skills for Reconstruction (extended phase) is a project funded by Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) and implemented by HELVETAS Nepal so as to address the burning need of reconstruction of the country after the earthquake of 2015. It mainly supports the Government of Nepal in producing construction sector human resources with earthquake resilient skills. Skills for Reconstruction also aims to provide socio-technical assistance (engineering support) to the affected homeowners and facilitate NRA Engineers for inspection of reconstructed houses and release tranches in time. The Project invites applications from Nepali citizens for the following position:
Position: Cluster Coordinator (1 position) (Women Only)
Job Purpose:
Ensure the efficient and effective implementation of short-term vocational skills training and employment program through the effective and robust monitoring system.
n Facilitate for socio-technical assistance to homeowners coordinating with local level government/agencies, NRA / GMALI, DLPIU- building, DCC, DDRC, HRRP, including the development partners, private sector industries/associations and companies working in skills and employment sector within the assigned cluster.
n Be responsible for overall project management at cluster level working as a line manager of Engineers of the respective cluster and be responsible for the day to day management functions at the assigned cluster office.
Reporting to: Team Leader
Required Education, Experiences and Social Competence:
Master's degree in development studies or Business Management or in any relevant discipline.
Minimum 3 years of working experience in project/program implementation with 2 years of working experience in a vocational training management sector. Bachelor's in civil engineering meeting the above criteria will be an added value. Commitment towards gender equality, social inclusion, and poverty reduction.
Duty Station: Employment Fund Cluster Office in Ramechhap (with frequent travel to project sites in the Palikas/Wards)
Duration: Till the project period (June 2020)
