Notice regarding application for the position of Executive Director
The Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Management Board is an autonomous organization with an undisclosed succession established in accordance with the Drinking Water Management Board Act, 2063. Since the vacancy of the post of Executive Director is to be filled on the basis of open competition, the notice shall be given by the willing Nepali citizens as per the Rule 17 of the Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Management Board Rules, 2064. Arriving at the office, Saibu, Bhaisepati, Lalitpur, all concerned should submit a vacant application. This information has been published for information.
Position: Executive Director
Minimum Qualifications Required: For an appointment to the post of Executive Director, the qualification shall be as per the following procedure in addition to the qualifications provided in Article 17 of the Act and Rule 17 of the Rules, 2064.
(A) At least five years of experience in engineering and management, finance, commerce science, law, public administration or economics should be obtained from the recognized educational institutes and at least 5 years of experience in the management of the drinking water and sanitation sector.
Clarification: Managing responsibility in the field of drinking water and sanitation means having at least 5 years of experience in the field of drinking water and sanitation in the post of Gazetted Secondary category of the Government of Nepal or in the administrative post of drinking water management board, any authority and government-owned by Nepal Government (at least ninth level or the like). Staying in drinking water and sanitation areas 9 years experience be achieved.
(B) has reached the age of 45 and has not reached the age of 60 until the last date of the application.
(C) not guilty by the court in a criminal offense that appears to be morally reprehensible.
(D) Not a member of any political party.
(E) not having any conflict of interest with the Board.
(F) Has not obtained Permanent Resident permission for permanent residence in any country.
(G) If the applicant is employed in anybody, a copy of the working institution's approval shall be submitted.
(In the case of selection of reinstatement staff in a public institution of the Government of Nepal, proof of reinstatement will have to be submitted before such appointment.
Term: The term of Executive Director will be 5 years. According to the provision of Rule 18 of the Kathmandu Valley Drinking Water Management Board Rules, 2064, his term shall not be barred from terminating before the expiry of his term.
Remuneration and Facility: The remuneration and facilities of the Executive Director shall be as per Rule 19 of the Kathmandu Valley Drinking Water Management Board Rules, 2064.
Major Functions, Duties, and Authorities: The functions, duties, and Authorities of the Executive Director shall be as per the provisions of Article 18 of the Drinking Water Management Board Act, 2063 and Rule 20 of the Kathmandu Valley Drinking Water Management Board Rules, 2064.
Basis of choice: Executive Director of the Kathmandu Valley Water Supply Management Board will be following the selection procedure, 2076.
