Nepali Army Recruitment Selection Directorate, Jangi Adda, Call for Applications for Technical, Air and Miscellaneous Service Padik and Billadar Posts.

Applications are invited to fill vacant Padik and Billadar posts under the Technical, Air and Miscellaneous Services in the Nepali Army through an open competitive process. Eligible Nepali citizens meeting the qualifications specified below must fill in the online application form from the official website of the Nepali Army www.nepalarmy.mil.np or from the official portal of the Recruitment Selection Directorate at http://vacancy.nepalarmy.mil.np.

3. Application Submission Dates and Location

• Application Dates:

  • From 2082/08/26 to 2082/09/26.

  • With double fee, from 2082/09/27 to 2082/10/03, with an additional seven (7) days.

  • Applications must be submitted within office hours during this period.

• If the last date for submitting the application with single or double fee falls on a public holiday, the application form filled online may be registered by paying the application fee (revenue) within office hours on the next working day after that date.

4. Application Fee

When submitting the application form, candidates must deposit the fee according to the position in Nepal Bank Limited account number 001010000000001001001 (Office Code 345013514 and Revenue Title No. 14224, Examination Fee). Candidates must submit both the original voucher and one photocopy together with the online application form.

• Eyesight:

  • For candidates using spectacles, eyesight must not be weaker than ±2 diopters.

  • For serving candidates under the Military Technical Service, eyesight must not be weaker than ±2.5 diopters.

• BMI:

  • Must be between a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 27.

5(c) Other Qualifications

Candidates must:

• Be declared fit in BMI and health examination.

• Not have been punished by a court for any criminal offence reflecting moral turpitude.

• Not be a current member of any political party.

• Not be involved in or have been involved in any criminal activity.

• Not be a member of any organization with destructive objectives.

• Not have been punished for espionage against Nepal.

• Not have been punished for violation of human rights and humanitarian law.

• Not have been dismissed from service in a manner that disqualifies them from future government service.

For other qualifications, candidates must meet the provisions set out in the “Military Service Regulations, 2069 (with amendments)”, “Military Technical Service Regulations, 2076”, “Military Air Service Regulations, 2074”, “Military Miscellaneous Service Regulations, 2074” and the “Recruitment Selection Directive, 2071”.

6. Age Limit

By the last date for submitting the application, 2082/09/26, candidates must have completed 18 years of age and not exceeded 25 years of age.

Date of birth must fall between 2057/09/26 and 2064/09/26.

7. Serving Military Candidates

• For the positions mentioned, eligible serving personnel in the Nepali Army may apply up to three (3) times until they reach 35 years of age, as specified in the relevant service regulations (date of birth on or after 2047/09/26).

• Candidates must have acquired the required educational qualification for the concerned position, completed basic military training, and must compulsorily submit a recommendation letter from the unit chief (mentioning the number of attempts).

• As of the last date for application submission, 2082/09/26, candidates must have completed a minimum of one year of service.

8. Required Certificates to Be Submitted

Candidates must self-attest and submit one copy of each of the following documents in a Nepali file. Certificates that are overwritten or duplicated will not be valid. All original documents of the submitted copies must be compulsorily brought at the time of application submission.

• Nepali Citizenship Certificate.

• Mark sheets, character certificates and original/provisional certificates for all educational levels.

• For those who have obtained degrees from boards or universities other than Nepali schools/universities, an equivalence certificate from the Curriculum Development Centre or Tribhuvan University.

• For certificates issued before the implementation of the Letter Grading Directive, 2078:

  • Minimum GPA 2/CGPA 1.6 or above, and no subject with less than D+.

• For certificates issued as per the Letter Grading Directive, 2078:

  • For SEE educational qualification: minimum GPA 2 or above, and must have obtained the original certificate.

  • For Grade 12 educational qualification: minimum GPA 1.6 or above, and must have obtained the original certificate.

• If the educational qualification mentioned in the advertisement is not held, but a higher qualification in the same subject is held, that higher qualification will be regarded as meeting the minimum educational qualification.

• For sons/daughters of Nepali soldiers who became physically disabled due to physical injury during military training or performance of duty, and for sons/daughters of Nepali soldiers who died in the line of duty, the following additional documents must be self-attested and submitted:

  • (1) Name must be included in the list of those requiring support published by the Ceremony Operation Directorate;
    or one certified copy of the Pension Entitlement Letter (Pension Patta) showing the mention of martyrdom/death in the line of duty/disabled status.

  • (2) For serving soldiers, one certified copy of the Medical Board recommendation letter as per Rule 107 of the “Military Service Regulations, 2069”.

  • (3) One certified copy of the relationship verification document with the concerned candidate.

9. Photographs

Candidates must submit recent photographs with full face visible (including both ears) of the same type as follows along with the application:

• Passport-size photographs: 4 copies

• 2×2 size photograph: 1 copy

11. Selection Process

The selection examinations for candidates will include:

• Wearing (dress) examination

• BMI and preliminary health examination

• Physical examination

• Written examination (conducted by the Public Service Commission)

• Practical examination

• Detailed health examination

• Interview

Candidates who fail in any one examination will not be allowed to participate in subsequent examinations.

12. Salary, Allowances, Rations and Other Facilities

As per the prevailing rules and arrangements in the Nepali Army.

13. Other Conditions

• Employees working in the Government of Nepal or other semi-government organizations must clearly mention their employment status in the application form and submit a departmental approval letter at the time of application submission. If this is not done, the application and the entire examination process will be cancelled.

• During the selection examinations, candidates themselves will be responsible for their personal safety, and for any type of accident that may occur during the examination period.

• Candidates must bring their admit card, 2×2 size photograph and original citizenship certificate with them for every examination.

• Candidates wishing to compete under the inclusive category may compete under only one of the communities among Indigenous/Nationalities, Madhesi and Dalit. This limitation does not apply to women. Candidates (male or female) from backward areas may also apply and compete under the Backward Area quota.

• Candidates who have applied for other posts in the ongoing position-filling process in the Nepali Army must submit a self-declaration. Candidates who have submitted applications for other posts must mention the post and advertisement number for which they have applied while filling the online application form.

• Candidates must present originals of all documents submitted at the time of filling the application form and at the board interview. If any submitted information is found to be false, action will be taken in accordance with prevailing law.

14. Information Regarding Filling the Online Application Form

• Visit the official portal of the Nepali Army at http://vacancy.nepalarmy.mil.np and click on “Apply Online”.

• To fill the online application form, the following details must be filled in Nepali Unicode. Candidates must also compulsorily upload scanned/digital copies of their photograph, Nepali Citizenship Certificate, educational qualification certificates and the voucher of the revenue fee paid.

• While filling the online application form, candidates will first enter minimum required qualifications such as age, educational qualification and citizenship. Only after these entries are verified as valid will candidates be able to proceed to the remaining parts of the form.

• After entering/uploading the required details and documents, candidates must upload the scanned/digital copy of the voucher of the revenue fee paid, submit the application, and download the application form, admit card and voucher of the revenue fee in PDF format and print them.

• Candidates must affix their photograph and postage stamp on the printed application form, sign it, and submit it to the Nepali Army Central Recruitment Selection Centre, Sano Bharyang, Swoyambhu within the prescribed date.

• If any candidate submits the application form online only and does not submit the printed form at the Recruitment Selection Centre, such an application submitted online only will not be accepted.

• If there are any technical difficulties in filling the online application form, candidates may express their difficulties through “Request for Help”. Information regarding queries/difficulties can also be obtained under “Frequently Asked Questions”. 15. Special Information

In accordance with the order (Permaadesh) issued on 2079/10/24 by the Honorable Supreme Court in writ petition no. 078-WO-0382 and related petitions, in which the Nepali Army, Recruitment Selection Directorate, Karyarathi Department, Jangi Adda, Kathmandu is also a respondent, after making necessary legal provisions regarding the inclusive group, this notice is being published for position filling at present in accordance with prevailing law, with a provision to address in accordance with law the compensation for positions that were actually lost due to the non-inclusion of positions under the inclusive group in fiscal year 2079/80 from among the total positions that will be maintained for the inclusive group.

16. Additional Provisions

• Positions will be filled based on the “Military Service Regulations, 2069 (with amendments)”, “Military Technical Service Regulations, 2076”, “Military Air Service Regulations, 2074” and “Military Miscellaneous Service Regulations, 2074”.
