Nepal Engineering Council Office Assistant Vacancy 2082

Nepal Engineering Council (NEC), Minbhawan, Kathmandu, (Nepal Engineering Council established under the Nepal Engineering Council Act, 2055), Notice for Permanent Recruitment Through Open Competitive Examination.

With the consent of the Public Service Commission dated 2082/06/09 and the decision of the Post Fulfilment Committee dated 2082/08/25, the vacant posts of the Council are to be filled permanently through an open competitive examination.

Therefore, applications are invited from interested Nepali citizens who have passed the pre-qualification examination conducted by the Public Service Commission and meet the qualifications specified in the schedule below, within 21 days from the date of publication of this notice (with an additional 7 days on payment of double fee) by submitting a duly filled application.

Eligible candidates must visit the Nepal Engineering Council website vacancy.nec.gov.np, sign up or log in, and submit their application online within 21 days from the first publication date of this notice. This notice has also been published on the Council’s website www.nec.gov.np.

Minimum Educational Qualification: Passed any SLC or equivalent from a recognized educational institution.

In accordance with the order (permanent mandamus) issued by the Honorable Supreme Court on 2079/10/24 in writ no. 078-WO-0660 and related petitions, positions related to the inclusive group will be filled as per the arrangements made after the necessary legal provisions regarding the inclusive group have been put in place.

Notes

Type of Examination: Written, interview, and other methods specified in the syllabus.
Syllabus: The syllabus for the advertised posts can be obtained from the Council’s website www.nec.gov.np under More/Notices/vacancy syllabus.
Examination Centre: The examination centre will be within the Kathmandu Valley. All written examinations for all posts will be conducted by the Public Service Commission. The written examination schedule will be determined by the Public Service Commission.
Candidates applying for the open competitive examination must go to the Payment Tab for the post they wish to apply for, pay the fee through any one of the specified payment modes, and then fill and submit the application form.
Application Fee: Rs. 600.
Since there is a provision for submitting applications through the online system, even if the last date for submitting applications falls on a public holiday, applications must be submitted on that same day with the prescribed fee.
Except in cases where the advertisement is cancelled, the examination fee will not be refunded.
Last Date for Submitting Application: Up to 2082/09/17, and with double fee up to 2082/09/24.
Age Limit of Candidates: Candidates must have completed 18 years of age and must not have exceeded 35 years. In the case of women and candidates with disabilities, they must not have exceeded 40 years. The age limit will not apply to permanent employees currently serving in the Council.
Salary, Allowances and Other Facilities: As per the Nepal Engineering Council Employee Service, Conditions and Facilities Regulations, 2078.
Place of Work: Office of the Council, Kathmandu.
Duties: As specified in the job description for the concerned position, service and group.
Probation Period: As per the Nepal Engineering Council Employee Service, Conditions and Facilities Regulations.
The extended period allowed for payment of double fee will not be counted for the purposes of calculation of age, educational qualification, training, work experience and length of service.
In the case of educational qualifications requiring equivalence determination, a certified copy of the equivalence certificate must be compulsorily submitted.
All fields of the application form must be filled in as specified.
Applications that are not submitted within the period mentioned in the Council’s Post Fulfilment Committee notice, or do not meet the minimum educational qualification, or do not disclose the specified details, or do not pay the prescribed fee, or are not duly submitted, will not be accepted.
For matters not mentioned in this notice, provisions in the Nepal Engineering Council Employee Service, Conditions and Facilities Regulations and other prevailing laws will apply.

- For Engineer posts, the registration certificate with the Nepal Engineering Council.
- Other documents prescribed for the concerned advertisement must be compulsorily uploaded.
Applications that do not meet the required procedure, even if accepted, may be cancelled at any time by the Post Fulfilment Committee.
