Nepal Clearing House Ltd. (NCHL) currently operates national payment systems namely Electronic Cheque Clearing (NCHLECC), Interbank Payment System (NCHL-IPS) and connectIPS e-Payment System with participation of almost all the banks & financial institutions and other institutions. The payment infrastructure of NCHL handled over 16.7 million transactions equivalent to over NRs 9.2 trillion in transaction amount in the last fiscal year. NCHL is expanding its team to drive its existing and upcoming payment systems. Hence, it invites qualified and competent Nepali national for the following full-time positions. 

In-charge ECC/IPS (1)

This is a supervisory role to operate, maintain and support Electronic Cheque Clearing (NCHL-ECC) and/or Interbank Payment System (NCHL-IPS). He/She shall operate business applications, maintain related systems, monitor databases and provide trainings to the end users. He/She shall work closely with other departments/ functions, member BFIs and NRB for providing necessary support and business solutions

Job Specification:

  • University degree in Computer Science/ Engineering/ IT or relevant field.
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience with not less than 1 year of experience in implementation or operation of payment and/or banking applications.
  • Prior experience in NCHL-ECC and NCHL-IPS with understanding of Operating Rules, Operating Procedures and NRB circulars will be an added advantage.
  • Good at Unix/Linux/Windows OS, Oracle databases, web applications, network technologies.
  • Comfortable in working with Web Services, XML, Message Queue, FTP, financial messaging
  • Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Analyst - S/w Development QA (1)

This is a supervisory role to develop and implement test plans for testing of various business applications, integrations and products/ features to ensure quality assurance of NCHL’s in-house and other systems. He/ She shall be responsible for manual and/or automated testing through various testing tools with engagements for assisting business & system requirements gathering and deployments by interacting with developers/ vendors and end users.

Job Specification:

  • At least University degree in Engineering/ Science/ IT or related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in software testing/ QA, application implementations with good knowledge of web/ mobile applications, relational databases and operating systems.
  • Exposure in manual and automated testing of front end, back end and interfaces of banking/financial/payment systems preferred, with sound knowledge on Web Services, XML, Message Queue, FTP, financial messaging & encryption technology.
  • Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies.
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in high-pressure environment with strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Support Executive/ System Analyst–HD (1)

This is an entry level role to provide technical and operational support to the end users of the systems operated by NCHL. He/ She shall also monitor and perform day to day activities in operating the systems.

Job Specification:

  • At least University degree in IT/IS/IM, Engineering, Science or related field.
  • At least 1 year of experience in supporting customers/ users of critical financial systems.
  • Outstanding fresh graduate with hands-on knowledge of web/ mobile applications, computer languages, databases, Linux/ Windows OS, network technologies can also apply.
  • Understanding of Web Services, XML, Message Queue, FTP, financial messaging.
  • Ability to learn, understand and apply new technologies with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
