Nepal Police Increases Janapad Police Inspector Vacancies
The Nepal Police Headquarters, Recruitment and Selection Division (Naxal), under the Government of Nepal’s Ministry of Home Affairs, has increased the number of vacancies for the post of Police Inspector under the Janapad Police Group.
Eight positions have been added to the number announced in the advertisement published on 2082/08/26 BS for recruitment through open competition in accordance with the inclusive provisions. The revised number of vacancies has therefore been set at 29. The Headquarters issued a notice regarding the increase on 2083/04/08 BS.

Special Notice Regarding the Supreme Court Order
In petitions seeking writs of certiorari, including Writ No. 078-WO-0662, in which the Nepal Police Headquarters was also named as a respondent, the Supreme Court issued a writ of mandamus on 2079/10/24 BS.
According to the order, once the necessary legal arrangements concerning inclusive groups have been made, the positions actually lost because they were not included in FY 2079/80 will also be taken into account when calculating the proportion of positions allocated to inclusive groups out of the total positions to be maintained. Compensation for the resulting loss will be provided as prescribed by law.
However, the Headquarters clarified that, for the time being, this notice has been published to fill the positions in accordance with the prevailing law.
