Position Brief Description and Eligibility

Child Poverty Coordinator

Required No.(s): 1

Term & Location: Fixed-term until December 2019 with possible extension based in Tribeni, Rolpa

Responsible for overall technical support of child poverty programs in Tribeni rural municipality, including on/off-farm income generation activities (IGA), life skills, livestock support in close coordination and collaboration with respective Polka and line agencies, under Integrated Project phase II (IP-II).

  • Master's Degree in agriculture, natural resources management, social science, livestock, or another relevant field with minimum 3 years' (2 years for GSI group*) experience in livelihoods or integrated project implementation and experience of working closely with the government will be an added advantage.

Coordinator— Child Rights Governance and Child Protection (CRG & CP)

Term & Location: Fixed-term until December 2019 with possible extension based in Surkhet field office

Responsible for timely project implementation and necessary coordination in consultation with Project Manager-NORAD; Support the implementation of high-quality CRG and CP programs focusing on the main three components as per the project framework and scope.

  • Master's degree in Social Science, Human Rights, International Relations, Law or relevant field with minimum 5 years' (3 years for GSI group*) experience in child rights-based project implementation and experience of working closely with the government will be an added advantage.

Documentation, Communications and Monitoring Coordinator

Term & Location: Fixed- term until December 2019 with possible extension based in Rolpa under M&FWFO Surkhet

lead documentation, learning, database management, communications, monitoring, and reporting activities for SCK funded programs in close coordination with the field team and Project Manager-SCK in Mid and Far West Field Office. S/he will be responsible for media/ communications and project documentation of SCK projects.

  • Master's degree in public relations, media/communications, social science or related discipline with minimum 3 years' (2 years for GSI group*) experience in documentation, monitoring, evaluation and/or research with at least 2 years in development projects.

Education Specialist

Required No.(s): 1

Term & Location: Fixed-term until December 2019 with possible extension based in Kathmandu

Responsible for the development of and technical support to high-quality child-focused early childhood care and development and basic education programs, reaching the most vulnerable and deprived children.

  • Master Degree in Education or equivalent with a minimum of 7 years' (5 years for GSI group*) experience in a related field, particularly in education project design and high-quality proposal development
