Position

Brief Description

DRTB Specialist — Global Fund

Required No.: 1

Term & Location: Fixed-term; based in NTC, Bhaktapur

Provide technical support on planning, implementation, monitoring, and supervision of DRTB and DSTb program of NationalTB Program; provide support to enhance the capacity of DR TB centers/sub/centers and TB referral centers

Eligibility:

Medical Doctor with an advanced degree in medicine/chest/pulmonology with a minimum of 7 years (5 years for GSI groups) experience in TB patient management.

Gene Xpert Coordinator - Global Fund

Required No.(s): 1

Term & Location: Fixed-term; based in NTC, Bhaktapur

Responsible to develop and implement GeneXpert Laboratory Quality Assurance and Accreditation System across all laboratories providing GeneXpert services; Provide technical and programmatic support for installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of GeneXpert equipment

Eligibility:

M.Sc. in Medical Microbiology, Medical Laboratory Technology, or related field with minimum 3 years (2 years for GSI group*) experience in Public Health laboratory with one year of professional experience in TB diagnostics (preferably in GeneXpert)

Microbiologist-Global Fund

Term & Location: Fixed-term; based in NTC, Bhaktapur based in NTC, Bhaktapur

Responsible for providing technical guidance to existing TB reference laboratories for uninterrupted quality services and to upcoming provincial culture and DST laboratories for infrastructure development and commencement of services. He/she will also be responsible for overseeing quality assurance systems for all TB laboratory services including sputum microscopy, GeneXpert testing, culture and DST services.

Eligibility:

MD or Ph.D. in Microbiology with Minimum 7 years (5 years for GSI groups) professional experience in clinical microbiology especially mycobacteriology

Provincial Lab Officer - Global Fund

Required Na(s): 7

Term & Location: Fixed-term; based in Provincial Health Directorate/ Provincial Reference Laboratory

Provide support to Provincial Health directorate for establishing TB microscopy QA laboratories (in provinces which do not have QC laboratories) and revitalize TB microscopy EQAS; Conduct monitoring and supervision visits to health facilities with TB sputum microscopy and GeneXpert services and provide onsite coaching to laboratory personnel

Eligibility: Bachelor's Degree in Medical Laboratory Technology or related field with Minimum 3 years (2 years for GS! groups) professional experience in TB laboratory

Senior Project Manager - Malaria - Global Fund

Required No.(s): 1

Term & Location: Fixed-term; based in EDCD, Teku, Kathmandu

Manage the overall implementation of the Malaria program in close liaison with Save the Children and Nepal government staff; Special focus to be given to the management of the Global Fund Supported activities in helping the country reach the set elimination targets.

Eligibility:

Master's degree in public health or other related fields with 7 years (5 years for GSI group*) of working experience in managing Public Health programs including more than 3 years of experience in Malaria program management at national level

*GS! group include Female, Dalit, Madhesi, People with Disabilities and other indigenous/minorities
