USAID Nepal Agricultural Transformation Activity CALL FOR CVs: DAI, a global consulting firm headquartered in Washington, DC, USA, seeks to fill key positions to support an anticipated USAID-funded Nepal Agriculture Transformation Activity in Nepal. The goal of Agriculture Transformation is to catalyze the transformation of Nepal's agricultural sector required for inclusive economic growth. The objectives for this activity are:
- Agricultural productivity, competitiveness, and diversification increased;
- Enabling environment for private sector investment in agriculture and equitable
access to market systems improved; - Climate and economic resilience of women, youth, and marginalized communities enhanced; and,
- Capacity of national agricultural research institutions and extension systems
This activity is expected to focus on the following value chains: fine rice, industrial maize, lentils, high-value vegetables, and goats. Implementation is expected to focus on 25 districts across Bagmati, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
DAI is currently accepting applications from senior and mid-level candidates for anticipated long-term program positions. Areas of expertise sought include:
- Finance and Operations Management
- Private Sector Investment in Agriculture and Policy Development
- Climate and Economic Resilience for Women, Youth, and Marginalized Communities
- National Agricultural Research Institutions and Extension Services
- Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL)
Requirements:
- University degree in Agriculture, Environmental Studies, Economics, Finance, Business Management, or a closely related field
- Minimum of 5 to 7 years of relevant experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral)
- Fluent Nepali and advanced English required
