Scope of Work

The consultant will support the programs undertaken by the Energy and Extractives team working on Nepal, including but not limited to:

  1. Support the team in managing supervision and implementation of the Energy portfolio, and related key meetings with internal and external clients, etc.
  2. Support the team in managing analytical and advisory work and related key meetings with internal and external clients, etc.
  3. Participate in field visits to the project areas with the team;
  4. Monitor the performance of the contracts under the World Bank supported Projects in close coordination with the clients.
  5. Provide support to the team's portfolio analyst to coordinate within the Energy and Extractives teams and with the relevant government organizations and other development partners, and contribute to project documents, as and when needed;
  6. Provide support in the preparation of operational products and project documents (e.g. Aide Memoires, background reports, field trip reports, case studies, portfolio performance reviews, etc.).
  7. Any other works assigned by the Task Team Leaders of Projects.

Minimum Requirement

The candidate should have at least a Master's degree in science, engineering, economics or equivalent and at least 2 years of working experience in relevant fields. The candidate should have excellent interpersonal skills, attention to details, ability to work under pressure, and verbal and written communication in English and Nepali languages.
