Admission Procedure at IIMS

IIMS has a highly selective admission process for all its courses, ensuring only deserving candidates are admitted. The admission process consists of three stages of screening that include the evaluation of the candidate's application, a written test (if necessary), group discussion, and personal interview.

For admission into the B.Sc. (Hons) Computing program, candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in their +2 level and a minimum of 50% marks in Mathematics in their SLC. Alternatively, candidates with a minimum of two principal subjects in A-Level can also apply.

Similarly, for admission into the BA (Hons) Hospitality Management program, candidates must have a minimum of 50% marks in their +2 level. Alternatively, candidates with a minimum of two principal subjects in A-Level can also apply.

Additionally, candidates applying for either of the programs must fulfill the English language requirements. They must have a score of 213 (computer-based) / 550 (writing-based) / 79-80 (Internet-Based) in TOEFL, Band 5.5 in IELTS, or pass the English Placement Test (EPT) conducted by the University.

For admission into the Bachelor of Computer Science (BCS) program, candidates must have passed their equivalent 10+2 examination with a minimum of 45% marks in any discipline or pass in A-Level with at least a credit in two subjects, including Mathematics at SPM level or equivalent. Candidates who have a graduate diploma in computing or equivalent with a minimum CGPA of 2.5 can also apply. Additionally, candidates who obtained a CGPA below 2.5 but above 2.0 may be accepted subject to a rigorous internal assessment process.

Lastly, for admission into the Master of Computer Science (MCS) program, candidates must have passed their Bachelor's degree related to computer science or equivalent and secured a minimum CGPA of 2.0 at the Bachelor's level.
