Viswa Niketan Secondary School is a non-profit educational institution established in 2003 with a noble objective of imparting quality education to students from all spheres of society irrespective of their caste, creed, culture, and social status. The school was founded under the noble initiation of the pioneer of education, late Shree Nara Man Shrestha. What started as a small school at his own house consistently grew into a highly reputed, renowned community school.

Located in a peaceful environment away from the hustle and bustle of the city, on the bank of the Bagmati river at Tripureswor, Kathmandu, Viswa Niketan Secondary School provides a serene atmosphere for learning. There are nearly 5000 students currently studying in two shifts, morning and day, at various levels from Nursery to Grade XII. In accordance with government policy, the school provides free education to students from grade 1 to 10, freeships for genuine and economically weaker students in grade 11 and 12, as well as scholarships for deserving students.

The school offers a "world of opportunities" for students to study in five various streams of Science, Management, Education, Humanities, and Law. The school has also recently received permission to commence classes in technical wings too, starting with Electrical Engineering from the coming session.
