Each semester includes 5 courses worth 15 credits. Each course carries 48 teaching hours spread over 16 weeks.
The evaluation system combines continuous internal assessment and end-of-semester final examinations. Internal evaluation carries 40 percent of the total grade, while final examinations carry 60 percent. For courses other than writing-intensive courses, the internal component includes a research essay, mid-term examination, and class-based academic work such as presentation, attendance, participation, and reading quizzes.
The grading system reports final grades in letter form: A, A-, B+, B, B-, and F. To pass a course, students must receive a B grade. The cumulative grade point is calculated on a scale of 4.
In the fourth semester, students have the option to take a thesis worth 3 credits.
