Each semester carries 15 credit hours. The first two semesters establish the main management, analytical and communication subjects, while the third and fourth semesters add specialization, electives, internship and research work.

First-semester study includes Managerial Communication & Critical Thinking, Statistics for Business Decisions, Economics for Managers, Marketing for Managers, Managing Human Resources and Financial Accounting and Reporting. Communication Skills Practicum and Digital Marketing Practicum add applied work to the semester.
The second semester moves into Organizational Behaviour, Contemporary Management Concepts, Managerial Accounting, Financial Management, International Business and Management Information System. It also includes a Seminar on Emerging Issues in Management and Fintech Practicum.
Specialization begins in the third semester and continues into the fourth semester. The MBA includes specialization areas in:
Marketing options include Consumer Behavior, Advertising and Sales Promotion, Service Marketing, Digital and Social Media Marketing, Customer Relationship Management and Applied Marketing Research.
Finance includes Investment Analysis, Corporate Financing Decisions, Financial Institutions and Markets, Financial Derivatives, Capital Markets and Behavioral Finance, and International Financial Management.
The Information Technology Science specialization includes subjects such as Data Analytics and Business Intelligence, Cybersecurity and Risk Management, Enterprise Resource Planning, Cloud Computing and Virtualization, Blockchain Technology and FinTech, and Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning Applications.
Students also select elective courses. Elective-I options include Project Management, Agri-business Management, Business Tax Planning and Management of Cooperatives. Elective-II options include Commercial Bank Management, Insurance and Risk Management, Real Estate Management, and Tourism and Hospitality Management.

The RJU-CMAT is conducted by the Faculty of Management, Rajarshi Janak University. The entrance examination consists of 100 objective questions carrying 100 marks.

For applicable MBA courses, internal evaluation carries 50 percent of the final grade and external semester-end evaluation carries the remaining 50 percent. Internal assessment includes attendance, presentations, group discussion or class participation, class tests and term papers.
