The Master of Public Health (MPH) at Kathmandu Multiple College is a two-year postgraduate program affiliated with Purbanchal University. The university curriculum also sets a basic entry requirement of a bachelor's degree in health sciences recognized by Purbanchal University with at least CGPA 3.00 on a 4.00 scale. A pass in the applicable entrance examination is required for admission.
Admission at Kathmandu Multiple College follows the prevailing process determined by the Medical Education Commission (MEC), Nepal. Fee structure and admission procedures are also governed by the applicable MEC provisions for the admission cycle.

Course Duration and Academic Structure

The MPH takes two academic years to complete, with each academic year divided into two semesters. Core public health study is concentrated in the earlier part of the program, followed by specialization and thesis work.

The curriculum contains 18 courses across its core and specialization components. It allocates 32 credit hours to core public health and 28 credit hours to specialization courses and thesis, producing a total of 60 credit hours.

Public Health Management and Research Focus

A minimum of 80 percent attendance in each subject is required to become eligible for the semester final examination. The curriculum uses a letter-grading system, and a minimum C grade is required separately in session work and the final examination for a course to be passed.

For graduation, students must pass all four semester examinations with a minimum weighted average GPA of 3.0 and complete the thesis and oral examination satisfactorily.
