Curriculum Structure

The BA program comprises a total of 2,000 marks spread over four academic years (500 marks per year). Students choose:

  • Two major subjects (700 marks each)

  • Two elective subjects (100 marks each)

  • Three compulsory subjects:

    • Compulsory English (200 marks, Year 1 and 3)

    • Compulsory Nepali (100 marks, Year 2)

    • Nepal Studies (100 marks, Year 4)

Each subject includes internal assessments (30 marks) and final exams (70 marks). Assessment components include:

  • Mini-projects

  • Class presentations

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for admission into the BA program:

  1. Applicants must have passed Grade 12 or an equivalent qualification with a minimum grade of D+ in all subjects.

  2. Students with a background in Humanities, Management, or Science from any board recognized by TU are eligible.

  3. To major in English or Economics, students must have studied and passed the respective subject within three years at the +2 or PCL level.

  4. Students may apply for Sociology, Nepali, or Rural Development regardless of their +2 specialization.
