Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) at Panchadewal Campus is a four-year annual-system bachelor program affiliated with Tribhuvan University. The program is offered under the Faculty of Education at the community-based campus located in Panchadewal Binayak Municipality-3, Achham, Sudurpashchim Province, Nepal.

Panchadewal Campus was established in 2006 AD (2063 BS) and is approved by the University Grants Commission of Nepal. Course Structure

The B.Ed. program follows the four-year annual structure of Tribhuvan University, Faculty of Education. The curriculum includes 22 courses carrying 2200 full marks.

The course structure is divided into five groups: Communication Skills, Professional Core Areas, Specialization Major Courses, Specialization Minor Courses, and Teaching Internship or Practicum.

Communication Skills includes General Nepali and General English. Professional Core Areas include Philosophical and Sociological Foundations of Education, Educational Psychology, Curriculum and Evaluation, and an elective course from the approved professional core options.

Students select one specialization major area and one specialization minor area. The major and minor areas must be different. Available specialization areas include Nepali Education, English Education, Mathematics Education, Science Education, Health and Physical Education, Population Education, Geography Education, Economics Education, History Education, and Political Science Education.

Eligibility

Students with Higher Secondary Education Examination Pass Certificate, Proficiency Certificate Level of Tribhuvan University, or an equivalent Grade 12 qualification are eligible to apply for admission to the B.Ed. program.

Additional entry requirements apply according to the selected specialization area. For example, Mathematics Education requires a Grade 12 or PCL background with Mathematics as a major subject, while Science Education requires Physics, Chemistry, and Biology subjects with the required full marks. Some specialization areas allow applicants from any faculty, as prescribed by Tribhuvan University.

Admission Process

Admission to B.Ed. follows Tribhuvan University, Faculty of Education, and campus regulations. Eligible applicants submit the prescribed application form with required academic documents after the admission notice is issued.

Depending on the specialization area and campus policy, the admission process may include an entrance examination or additional selection requirement. Final enrollment is completed according to TU rules and the schedule of the campus.

Examination and Evaluation

B.Ed. at Panchadewal Campus follows the annual examination system of Tribhuvan University. For bachelor-level annual-system programs, final examinations are conducted by TU through the Office of the Controller of Examinations.

Teaching Internship and Practicum

Teaching Internship or Practicum is a required component of the B.Ed. program. It carries 100 full marks and is placed in the fourth year of the curriculum.

This component connects the B.Ed. program with classroom-based teaching practice and professional preparation in education. It supports the academic purpose of the program by linking educational theory, specialization study, and supervised teaching experience.
