Call for Entries: Nepali Army Photo Competition
The Nepali Army invites you to submit your most compelling photographs that showcase military life for a chance to win cash prizes and display your work at a prestigious exhibition. Here's what you need to know to apply:
Eligibility Criteria:
- Age Requirement: Must be 18 years or older.
- Open to All: Whether you're a seasoned professional or a passionate amateur, you're welcome to apply.
- Originality: Submissions must be your own work and not previously commercialized or published.
Prizes Up for Grabs:
- First Prize: Rs 50,000
- Second Prize: Rs 35,000
- Third Prize: Rs 25,000
Exhibition Opportunity:
Selected photos will be featured in the 'Brehat Photo Exhibition-2080' in conjunction with Nepali Army Day and Mahashivratri festivities.
What to Capture:
Your photographs should fall into one of the following categories:
- Operational Activities
- Military Training
- Sports
- Civil-Military Cooperation
- Ceremonies and Festivals
Additional themes include national development, rescue and disaster management, peacekeeping operations, environmental preservation, and cultural activities.
Submission Guidelines:
- Time Frame: Only photos taken within the last year are eligible.
- Number of Entries: Submit multiple photos for more chances to win.
- Format and Quality: JPEG format, minimum file size of 3MB, and minimum resolution of 5400 x 3600 pixels at 300dpi.
- Editing Rules: Minor edits are allowed; however, image integrity must be maintained.
Technical Details:
Photos must include EXIF metadata, be free from text and watermarks, and respect privacy rights. Digitally altered or offensive content will not be considered.
How to Apply:
- Online: Upload your photos on the Nepali Army website.
- In-Person: Alternatively, submit a digital copy at the Directorate of Public Relations and Information, Bhadrakali, Kathmandu.
Application Deadline: Ensure you submit your entries by 21st November 2080.
Acknowledgment of Entry: A confirmation email will be sent to you after submitting your photos.
Rights and Permissions:
- Photographer's Rights: You retain copyright of your work.

Post-Submission Agreement:
