Global Money Week 2026 to Be Observed in Nepal
Global Money Week 2026 will be observed in Nepal under the coordination of Nepal Rastra Bank from March 16 to 22, 2026 [2082 Chaitra 2 to 8 (BS)].
This global awareness campaign aims to improve financial literacy among children and young people by strengthening their financial knowledge, skills, and attitudes.
The Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) has been coordinating Global Money Week (GMW) worldwide every year since 2012. This year, the campaign will be observed as the 14th edition with the slogan “Smart Money Talks.” The information notes that the campaign has so far reached more than 70 million children and young people in 176 countries.
In Nepal, Nepal Rastra Bank will again serve as the National Coordinator. Institutions involved in the financial system will actively participate, and other organizations and concerned stakeholders may also join. All organizations and bodies working to promote financial literacy are invited to participate and observe the campaign on a grand scale.
