International Group Art Exhibition in Kathmandu

An international group art exhibition featuring more than one hundred artists from Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and Mauritius has begun. Organized by Aakar Decor in collaboration with various associations, the joint painting and sculpture exhibition was inaugurated on Tuesday (4th November 2025) in Kathmandu

Chairperson of the Nepal–German Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Santosh Chandra Kunwar, inaugurated the exhibition. He stated that the event would help deepen Nepal’s relations with different countries through art. He added that the language of art and music is international, and showcasing works from Nepal, India, Bangladesh, and Mauritius in one place not only strengthens ties among artists but also helps reinforce relations among the countries.

Statements by Participating Artists

Indian artist Bharat Bhushan expressed great happiness at participating in the exhibition. He shared that opportunities to engage in the arts help shape one’s humanity. He said, “When one engages in art and creation, the mind focuses on creation; there is no time for deception on the sides. With dedicated attention to creating art, opportunities arise to reach both within the country and abroad. Carrying artworks to other countries is not only beneficial to the individual artist; artists also represent their country. In this way, artists can play an important role in strengthening relations with different countries.”

Bangladeshi artist Rubina Nargis said she was very pleased to participate with her artworks among one hundred artists from various countries. Noting that the exhibition felt like being part of an art fair, she said that the event in Nepal’s capital would allow artists to discuss each other’s styles and exchange experiences.
