Urgent Equivalency Notice – CTEVT, Curriculum Division
Council for Technical Education and Vocational Training (CTEVT), Curriculum Development and Equivalency Determination Division, Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, Regarding Equivalency Determination.
It has been observed that Nepali students who studied diploma/certificate-level programs at foreign boards, universities, or educational institutions have conducted practical training in hospitals or health institutions in Nepal without official approval. This has caused complications in the equivalency determination process.
In the interest of Nepali students and guardians, those who complete their studies by the end of Baisakh 2082 (14 May 2025) can apply for equivalency if they submit the documents specified in Schedule 4 related to Sub-regulation (2) of Regulation 30 under the CTEVT Curriculum Development and Equivalency Determination Regulations, 2080.
If so, equivalency can be granted based on prevailing standards and procedures.
Conditions After the Deadline
From the mentioned date onward, no equivalency will be granted to students who conduct practical training in any institution located in Nepal.
However, equivalency will be granted only if the teaching institution provides the official documents confirming that the practical training was conducted in the same country as the educational institution. These documents include:
-
Logbook
-
Internship Request Letter
-
Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the teaching institution and the practical training institution
-
Internship completion certificate
-
Other relevant documents
These conditions will be enforced as per the decision of the CTEVT Equivalency Determination Committee dated 2082/01/31, and all concerned, including students, guardians, educational institutions, and organizations, are hereby informed.
Additional Note
After obtaining equivalency from the CTEVT office, students must register their names according to the rules and standards of the respective professional councils.
