Kathmandu Metropolitan City Requests School Preparation from Bhadra 29

Kathmandu Metropolitan City has requested teachers and school management to be present at schools from Sunday, Bhadra 29, 2082, to prepare for teaching and learning activities.
According to Acting Head of the Education Department, Keshav Gyawali, the directive was issued because schools were closed due to the recent situation that developed in the country.

Key Instructions to Schools

Verify School Condition

  • Check if there is any damage to the school infrastructure.

  • Contact parents to understand the situation of students.

  • Request parents to manage pick-up and drop-off of children until conditions become normal.

Four-Point Notification

The Education Department has instructed all schools to:

  • Resume class operations.

  • Verify if any damage occurred to the schools due to the situation created on Bhadra 23 and 24.

  • Make necessary preparations to resume teaching.

  • Follow the guidelines provided for class operation.

Physical Classes and Alternatives

  • Physical classes with psychosocial counseling are to begin from Monday, Bhadra 30, 2082.

  • For students unable to attend school with their parents, classes should be conducted through audiovisual means.
