Madhesh Has the Highest Number of Non-Graded Candidates in SEE
The highest number of candidates in the Secondary Education Examination (SEE) have been placed in the non-graded category in Madhesh Province. According to data from the National Examination Board, Madhesh Province has also shown the weakest overall result. Gandaki Province has the lowest number of candidates in the non-graded category.
In Koshi Province, out of 72,256 candidates, 21,366 have fallen into the non-graded group. It has been stated that, in terms of the percentage of candidates who appeared in the examination and those who failed, this figure is lower compared with other provinces.
In Madhesh Province, out of 76,317 candidates, 31,725 have failed. From Bagmati Province, 98,817 candidates appeared in the SEE, of whom 21,704 failed.
From Gandaki Province, 36,493 candidates appeared in the examination, of whom only 9,943 failed. From Karnali Province, 32,336 candidates appeared, and 13,241 failed. From Sudurpaschim Province, 42,299 candidates appeared, and 20,635 failed.
According to the results published by the Board on Monday evening, 65.98 percent of the total participants have passed. Compared with the national result, the results of Madhesh, Sudurpaschim, and Karnali provinces appear relatively low.
This year, a total of 284,160 candidates across the country passed, meaning they were placed in the graded group. Similarly, 146,507 candidates failed, meaning they were placed in the non-graded group.
For candidates placed in the non-graded group, the Board will conduct the grade improvement examination from 2083 Asar 1 to 9, Board Member Secretary Jang Bahadur Aryal said. The Board has stated that candidates who are not satisfied with the current result may apply for re-totaling from Jestha 1 to 7.
