MoFAGA Publishes Revised Promotion Merit List

The Ministry of Federal Affairs and General Administration, Secretariat of the Promotion Committee, has published the revised promotion recommendation merit list for various Gazetted Second Class posts under Nepal Agriculture Service, Crop Protection Group.
According to the notice published on April 2, 2026 (2082-12-19 BS), the new list has been made public in implementation of the decision on a complaint filed at the Public Service Commission and an appeal filed at the Administrative Court.
As stated in the notice, a complaint had been filed at the Public Service Commission regarding the recommendation merit order under Promotion Notice No. 84-082/83 for promotion to the post of Nepal Agriculture Service, Crop Protection Group, Gazetted Second Class, based on work performance, as decided by the Promotion Committee on 2082-10-09 BS.
According to the decision made by the Public Service Commission on 2082-12-12 BS in that complaint, the revised merit order has now been maintained. In accordance with the decision of the Promotion Committee dated 2082-12-18 BS, this list has been published for the purpose of Section 20(4) of the Civil Service Act, 2049 and Rule 84, Sub-rule (2), Clause (a) of the Civil Service Regulations, 2050.
In this list, Chandra Bahadur Budha, Employee No. 204477, has been recommended at Merit Order No. 1, with a total score of 100.0000.
Similarly, appeals had been filed at the Administrative Court regarding the recommendation merit orders under Promotion Notice No. 46-081/82, promotion based on seniority and performance evaluation, decision dated 2081-09-21 BS, and Promotion Notice No. 95-081/82, promotion based on work performance, decision dated 2081-09-27 BS.
The notice states that the revised merit order has been maintained following implementation of the court’s decision dated 2082-08-26 BS in Appeal No. 081-AC-0083. Accordingly, the list has been published under the Civil Service Act, 2049, as per the decision of the Promotion Committee dated 2082-12-18 BS.
Under Promotion Notice No. 46-081/82, the revised list for promotion based on seniority and performance evaluation recommends the following candidates from Merit Order No. 1 to 4:
