Multipurpose Building at Dhaulagiri Multiple Campus
Dhaulagiri Multiple Campus, Baglung is set to construct a multipurpose building equipped with a high-level laboratory. The building will be used for BBA, Science, and BICT programs.
An ultra-modern auditorium hall will also be built within the same building. After an agreement between Tribhuvan University and the University Grants Commission, such buildings are being constructed at four campuses in Nepal.
The total estimated cost of the building is 1 crore 72 lakh rupees. For the first phase of the building, the campus has already awarded a contract worth 1 crore 28 lakh rupees.
Foundation Stone and Construction Timeline
On Wednesday, Campus Chief Associate Professor Dr. Sudarshan Silwal laid the foundation stone of the building.
Khusi Nirman Sewa has taken the construction contract with the responsibility to complete the building by the end of the coming Chaitra month.
Current Status of BBA and Introduction of BICT
At present, the BBA program conducted at Dhaulagiri Multiple Campus is regarded as one of the best in Nepal. Students from Dhaulagiri Campus have graduated from Tribhuvan University with the highest marks.
From the current academic session, the BICT program is also being launched at the campus. For this program, 90 students have already submitted their applications, according to Silwal.
Use of Advanced Lab and Other Campuses
The advanced laboratory to be constructed in this building will be useful for Science, BICT, and BBA programs.
The University Grants Commission is also constructing similar buildings at Prithvi Narayan Campus in Pokhara, the Nursing Campus, and other campuses.
Student Attraction and Present Infrastructure
At present, student attraction towards the Management and Science faculties at Dhaulagiri Multiple Campus has been increasing.
Although the BBA program is about to complete a decade of operation, it has so far been conducted in an old and dilapidated building.
