
NEB Class 12 Results 2082 Published
The National Examination Board has officially published the results of Class 12. The decision to release the results was made during the board meeting held on Monday, Shrawan 2082.
According to the board, 61.17 percent of the students who participated in the examination have passed. Last year, only 52 percent had passed. Board Chairperson Mahashram Sharma informed that many students failed (received non-graded results) in subjects like English, Accountancy, Social Studies, and Nepali.
This time, the results have been made accessible through the official websites of the National Examination Board and Nepal Telecom.
Over Half a Million Students Took Part in the Exam
A total of 511,000 students appeared for the Class 12 examination held across the country in the month of Baisakh. Among them, 395,000 were regular students, while 115,000 appeared under the partial category.
Exams were conducted in 1,591 exam centers designated for students from 5,202 schools. Among these, 38 students from Everest School in Japan also took part in the examination.
Out of the 77 districts, the lowest participation was from Manang with only 45 students, whereas Kathmandu saw the highest participation with 68,000 students. The number of exam centers included one each in Manang and Mustang, and the highest, 162 centers, in Kathmandu.
Over 2.8 Lakh Students Graded in Class 12 Exam
The National Examination Board (NEB) has officially released the results for the Class 12 regular and grade improvement (partial) exams. The announcement was made on Monday.
The board has also shared detailed information on how students performed based on their GPA.
13,502 Students Scored a GPA Between 3.61 and 4.00
Out of the total examinees, 2,84,305 students received a pass grade (graded), according to Board Chairperson Mahashram Sharma. Among them, 13,502 students scored in the top GPA bracket of 3.61 to 4.00.

Breakdown: Regular vs Partial Examinees
This year, 396,347 students appeared under the regular category. Out of them, 242,465 students passed.
In the partial category, 114,640 students appeared, and 41,840 of them were graded.

Exams Cancelled for 17 Students
The board also announced that 17 students had their exams cancelled due to involvement in misconduct during the exams. Among them, 11 were regular examinees and 6 were from the partial group.
Exams Were Delayed Due to Nationwide Teachers' Strike
The Class 12 examinations, initially scheduled to start on Baisakh 11, were postponed by 10 days due to the Kathmandu-centric street protests and educational strike led by the Nepal Teachers' Federation. After the exams concluded on Jestha 2, answer sheet evaluation and related procedures were initiated.
As per the Letter Grading Directive 2078, students who fail to secure a minimum of 35 percent marks in the theoretical portion of any subject receive a non-graded result and are not listed in the published result.
