Nepal Army Completes 9-Month Basic Military Training, 2,968 Soldiers Graduate
The Nepal Army has completed its nine-month basic military training program.
According to a press release issued by the Directorate of Public Relations and Information, Nepal Army Headquarters (Jangi Adda), a total of 2,968 new soldiers graduated on 2083 Ashwin 9.
The training was conducted at the Military Training Center and various other training locations across the country, covering a total of 22 locations. Among those who completed the training, 2,502 were men and 466 were women.
According to the Directorate, final passing-out parades were organized at the different training locations to mark the completion of the training. Senior Army officers inspected the parades, while trainees who demonstrated outstanding performance during the training were also awarded.
Representatives of district and local bodies, employees of government offices, family members of the newly appointed soldiers, and media personnel attended the training completion ceremonies, the Nepal Army stated.
