NRB Notice Regarding Issuance of Rs 100 Denomination Banknote
This Bank will issue Rs 100 denomination banknotes of the same size and colour as the existing notes, with serial numbers from Ka/20 000001 to Gha/40 999999. These notes will bear the promissory clause: “This note is guaranteed by the Government of Nepal. When payment of this note is demanded, Nepal Rastra Bank will immediately pay one hundred rupees.” Banknotes with the following features will be brought into circulation from 2082-08-11 (B.S.). This notice is published for the information of the general public.
Features on the Obverse Side of the Note
On the obverse side of the note:

On the left side of the note, there is a picture of Mount Everest.

On the right side of the note, there is a watermarked image of the rhododendron.

In the middle of the note, there is a map of Nepal.

In the middle of the note, there is an image of the Ashoka Pillar along with the inscription “LUMBINI THE BIRTH PLACE OF LORD BUDDHA”. Next to the Ashoka Pillar, there is a black tactile dot to help visually impaired persons identify the note by touch, and on the left side, within an oval, there is an image of Mayadevi printed in Silver Metallic.

There is a 2 mm wide colour-shifting security thread, which appears red when viewed straight and green when viewed at an angle.

At the place designated for the Governor’s signature, there is the signature of the then Governor, Maha Prasad Adhikari.

At the bottom border of the note, the series number is written in Nepali as “B.S. 2081”.
Features on the Reverse Side of the Note
On the reverse side of the note:

In the upper portion of the middle part of the note, “NEPAL RASTRA BANK” is written in English.

In the middle part of the note, there is a picture of a one-horned rhinoceros with its calf.

At the bottom border of the note, “RUPEES ONE HUNDRED” is written in English.

At the bottom border of the note, the series number is written in English as “2024 A.D.”.
Additional Information
Earlier, a notice was published stating that Rs 100 denomination banknotes (Series 2019) with serial numbers from O/18 000001 to Ka/37 999999 would be brought into circulation from 2076-06-07 (B.S.). It is hereby informed that only the banknotes with serial numbers from O/18 000001 to Ka/19 034500 have been brought into circulation.
