Ramrajya Secondary School Raises Rs 3.7 Million During Diamond Jubilee

A total of Rs 3.7 million, including endowment funds, has been collected through the financial support campaign launched on the occasion of the Diamond Jubilee of Ramrajya Secondary School in Dohali, Isma Rural Municipality–4, Gulmi. The campaign was launched to mark the school’s 60th anniversary.

According to the school, more than Rs 1.6 million was collected during the campaign to establish six endowment funds. School accountant Keshav GC informed that, so far, Rs 1,603,439 has been received for the endowment funds and Rs 2.1 million for school development.

The family of Tikadevi Mahat (Goma), a resident of Dohali, Isma Rural Municipality–4, has established an endowment fund of more than Rs 500,000 in the names of her late husband and daughter-in-law. In memory of late Laxman Mahat, Tikadevi Mahat, along with her sons Rajan Mahat and Dr. Rabin Mahat, and Sofia Mahat and Sonia Mahat, established an endowment fund worth Rs 211,111.

Similarly, Rajan Mahat established an endowment fund of Rs 325,000 in memory of his late wife, Ganga Pachhai Mahat. According to school principal Jagat Bahadur Khadka, the Mahat couple were former students of the school. Ganga Pachhai Mahat passed away on Jestha 26, 2081, at the age of 35.

The family of late Narahari Rijal of Rajasthal, Isma Rural Municipality–5, provided Rs 361,161 to the school for an endowment fund. His son Damodar Prasad Rijal (Bishnu) informed that the endowment fund was established in memory of Narahari Rijal, who was the founding principal of the school.

Likewise, the family of late Kalanidhi Rijal, the founding chairperson of the School Management Committee, established an endowment fund of Rs 355,000 in his memory. His sons, daughters, and daughters-in-law jointly provided the support.

The family of late Bel Bahadur GC of Dohali Kalyar, Isma Rural Municipality–4, established an endowment fund of Rs 101,111 in his memory. School teacher Balkrishna Basnet established an endowment fund worth Rs 50,000 in memory of his father, Nanda Bahadur Basnet.

Former students who studied at Ramrajya Secondary School and passed the SLC in 2056 BS have also provided support worth Rs 256,000. The school has stated that this amount will also be managed as an endowment fund.

The school has organized its Diamond Jubilee celebration from Monday to Jestha 15. School Management Committee Chairperson Chandra Bahadur Mahat said that all preparations for the festival have been completed.
