Tarkeshwar SEE Students Honored
Students from Tarkeshwar Municipality, Kathmandu, who passed the recently concluded Secondary Education Examination (SEE), were honored on Saturday. Parivartan Abhiyan Nepal honored students who achieved excellent results from community and institutional schools in Tarkeshwar during a special ceremony.
Nepali Congress leader and Member of Parliament Arjun Narsingh KC, who attended the program as the chief guest, congratulated the students and said they are the future of the country. He noted that discipline and moral values are as important as book knowledge in education. KC advised students to make the right decisions at a new stage of life and choose subjects according to their interests.
Member of Parliament Khusbu Oli congratulated and extended best wishes to the successful students and urged them to become self-reliant. Sharing her experience of starting work at the age of 16, she advised students to develop skills and a habit of working alongside their studies. She urged parents not to compare their children with others and to allow them to study subjects of their interest. She said policy-level work is being carried out in Parliament to create an environment where young people can find their future within Nepal.
Member of Parliament KP Khanal recalled his social journey from childhood and urged students to seek their future in their own country. He said attention should be focused on staying in Nepal and bringing change, instead of following the trend of going abroad.
Member of Parliament Nishkal Rai encouraged students to remain politically and socially aware and contribute to the country’s development.
Parivartan Abhiyan Nepal Chairperson Sushil Bhatta announced that the organization would provide free educational counseling to students for the next one month. He also expressed a commitment to coordinating with various Plus Two colleges to arrange scholarships for students who are facing difficulty pursuing higher education due to financial constraints.
At the program, Nepali Congress Kathmandu President Sabuj Baniya said the state needs to pay attention to educational reform in Nepal.
Tarkeshwar Municipality Deputy Mayor Srijana Burlakoti Aryal said it was a matter of happiness that the results of community and institutional schools had improved. She mentioned that the municipality has been working with priority on education and sports.
