Sanskrit Karmakanda Classes Begin in Gaur, Rautahat
The study and teaching of Sanskrit Karmakanda has started in Gaur, Rautahat from 2082 Mangsir 21.
Gaur Municipality Mayor Shambhu Sah inaugurated the Ram Lakhan Hari Sah Gurukul Vidyapith located in Gaur Municipality-2 amid a program today and informed that classes have formally begun.
He stated that, in line with the wishes of local residents, a six-month Sanskrit Karmakanda course has been initiated after obtaining permission from Nepal Sanskrit University, Beljhundi, Dang.
He also informed that the Ram Lakhan Hari Sah Gurukul Vidyapith has been established with the support of the municipality to run the study and teaching of Sanskrit Karmakanda, located to the south of Juddha Secondary School.
Mayor Sah expressed confidence that this training will help strengthen cultural values and good conduct among local youth. Nepal Sanskrit University has provided permission to the Vidyapith to conduct the six-month Sanskrit Karmakanda training.
Chief Administrative Officer of Gaur Municipality, Subash Kumar Thakur, stated that along with Sanskrit Karmakanda, Prajnya Shastri classes will be operated in the coming days. He said that with the start of Sanskrit Karmakanda study and teaching in Gaur, the compulsion to go to Matihani, Mahottari has ended.
Thakur also informed that those who have passed Grade 8 can study in this program and that Gaur Municipality will bear the entire cost. He added that 25 seats have been made available for the Sanskrit Karmakanda course.
