Second Phase of Vaccination Campaign for Children of 50 Districts to Starts from Bhadra 5

The government of Nepal is going to start a vaccination campaign targeting children in the remaining 50 districts under the second phase from 2079 Bhadra 5th.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, the vaccination campaign will be started by targeting children under 5 to 12 years of age in 50 districts. The ministry has said that the first vaccination will be given from Bhadra 5 to 11 and Bhadra 27 to Ashoj 1 only.

The districts where the vaccination campaigns will be conducted in Province 1 are Bhojpur, Dhankuta, Khotang, Okhaldhunga, Panchthar, Shankhuwasabha, Solukhumbu, Taplejung, Tehthum, and Udayapur. Similarly, there are three districts namely Bara Rautahat and Sarlahi in Madhesh province. There are six districts of Bagmati province: Ramechhap, Dolakh, Dhading, Nuwakot, Rasuwa Sindhupalchok.

According to the ministry, the vaccination campaign will be conducted in the districts of Gandaki Province: Baglung, Gorkha, Lamjung, Manang, Mustang, Myagdi, Parbat, Syangja and Tanahun.

In Lumbini Province, the districts where the vaccination campaign will be conducted are Kapilvastu, Arghakhanchi, Gulmi, Palpa, Pyuthan, Rolpa, and East Rukum, while in Karnali Province, there are West Rukum, Salyan, Dolpa, Humla, Jumla, Kalikot, Mugu, Dailekh, and Jajarkot.

A vaccination campaign will be conducted in the districts of Sudurpaschim Province: Achham, Doti, Bajura, Baitadi, and Darchula districts.

As some local levels give vaccination based on the availability and ease of vaccination, the ministry has requested to contact the nearest ward office or school for more information.

Pfizer's vaccine given to children is safe, so the ministry has asked them to vaccinate their children with confidence. Earlier, the government has given the first and second doses of vaccination to children in 27 districts.
