TU to Start Smart Classes in All Campuses by Next Year

Kathmandu — Tribhuvan University has stated that it will start at least one smart class in its constituent and affiliated campuses by next year.

Inaugurating a smart class today at the Central Department of Education in Kirtipur, Vice-Chancellor Prof. Dr. Sushil Bajracharya informed that the university is preparing to launch smart classes with support from the UNESCO office in Nepal and the Chinese company Max Hub.

According to him, smart classes have become necessary to move classroom teaching away from a one-way teaching style and make it interactive.

“Later, all classes will gradually be converted into smart classes using smart technology,” Vice-Chancellor Bajracharya said.

He said the use of smart technology would help improve teaching and learning as well as overall academic results.

Bajracharya, who taught for a long time at the Institute of Engineering, said the university is seeking to operate smart classes in all campuses based on the experience of smart technology being used there for a long time.
