Waling Municipality (वालिङ नगरपालिका) is an urban local government in Syangja District of Gandaki Province, Nepal. According to the municipality’s official records, Waling was declared a municipality on 2053/10/11 BS. The Office of the Municipal Executive is located at Waling-8, Kataunje, Syangja. Official documents reviewed for verification do not support the earlier wording that places the headquarters at Jagatradevi, so that location should be avoided unless backed by a current municipal source.

Waling currently operates through 14 wards, not 11. The present municipal structure was expanded during Nepal’s local-level restructuring in 2073 BS, when the former Waling Municipality was reorganized with additional former VDC areas and selected wards.

The municipality delivers a range of local public services through its municipal and ward offices. Official municipal materials and citizen charter records show services related to vital event documentation and recommendations, social security, local infrastructure and development works, health, education, agriculture, animal health, and other local administrative functions. These sources support a broad service description, but highly specific claims such as “land registration” should be used carefully unless directly confirmed by the municipality’s current service list.
