Position: Program Manager
Qualification: University Degree in Social Science, international or community development.
Experience 7 years of related programmatic experiences and five years of Management experience.
Responsibilities :
The Program Manager will act as the American Red Cross (AmRC) lead in the country and will be responsible for maintaining strong donor and stakeholder relationships in the country, particularly USAID/OFDA. The Program Manager will support the management of key delegation staff until their integration into the multi-partner Nepal Consortium. The Program Manager will be based in Kathmandu, Nepal with 50% of the time spent in new project implementation sites to be determined and developed within the program implementation areas. The Program Manager will play a key role in the development of AmRC-supported programs in Nepal.
The position will report directly to the Country Consortium Manager when established and will report to the AmRC Deputy Regional Director until then. The PM will maintain a collaborative relationship with Asia, Middle East, and Europe (AMEE) Regional Quality & Learning Unit, Regional Director, and other relevant staff in the region to ensure consistent and standardized use of best practices and processes. The Manager will also maintain an active and collaborative relationship with the N HQ-based Program Officer, and through the Program Officer with other NHQ-based technical support units. Likewise, the Program Manager will help ensure NRCS compliance to all Grant Agreements including spend rates and timeliness of reported and will be supported by the M&E team.
