Okhaldhunga Community Hospital Vacancy Announcement:

Okhaldhunga Community Hospital (OCH) is a project of the United Mission to Nepal. OCH has been serving the community since it was established as a small clinic in 1962. This 50-bedded hospital is a general hospital providing affordable quality and cost-effective health care to the people of Okhaldhunga and the surrounding region.

Position: Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Team Leader (Grade 6-7)

Location: Malung/Khijidemba Rural Municipality

Required Number:  2 (Two)

Qualification and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Social Science/Rural Development/any related field;
  • Minimum 2 years' of relevant work experience in Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) and Disability Rehabilitation work or in Inclusive Development work with related training; OR
  • Diploma in Community Health and Development;
  • Minimum 5 years' of work experience in rural development work or 2 years' work experience in the CBR program;
  • Ability to understand the situation of People with Disabilities (PWD) and their families and have empathy towards PWDs;
  • Willingness and ability to work remote areas and challenging environment;
  • Good coaching, mentoring, capacity building, training and facilitation skills;
  • Good computer skills and communication skills in Nepali and English language, both in written and verbal.

Position: Community-Based Rehabilitation (CBR) Facilitator (Grade 5-6)

Location: Malung/Khijidemba Rural Municipality

 Required Number: 6 (Six)

Qualification and Experience:

  • Intermediate level pass;
  • Minimum 3 years' of work experience in the Community Development field or 1-year work experience in CBR project; OR
  • At least SLC passed/CMA/ANM/Social Mobiliser with 5 years of work experience in community mobilization, implementing activities and monitoring to ensure quality standards;
  • Ability to mobilize groups;
  • Willingness and ability to work in remote areas and challenging environment;
  • Ability to improve the lives of PWD and their families, marginalized people;
  • Ability to work with churches and Christian communities in the project location;
  • Good coaching, mentoring, capacity building and facilitation skills
  • Good computer skills and communication skills in Nepali and English language, both written and verbal.

Position: Staff Nurse

Location: Okhaldhunga Community Hospital

Required Number: Few

Qualification and Experience

  • PCL in Nursing (RN)
  • Registered with Nepal Nursing Council

Position: Pharmacy Assistant

Location: Okhaldhunga Community Hospital

Required Number: 1

Qualification and Experience:

  • Diploma in Pharmacy;
  • Registered in Nepal Pharmacy Council;
  • Knowledge of basic computer skills and communication skills;
  • Good in an interpersonal relationship, teamwork and patient counseling;
  • Good in creating an effective working environment.
