Plan International Nepal Job Vacancies: Project Specialist, Project Coordinator, and Media and Communication Officer
Plan International Nepal, an independent development and humanitarian organization that champions children's rights and gender equality, is seeking qualified and passionate individuals to fill in the following job vacancies:
1. Project Specialist-Promoting Inclusive, Safe Education in Jumla
Location: Jumla Type of contract: Fixed-term (until February 2025)
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure high-quality delivery of the Promoting Inclusive, Safe, and Quality Education Project in Jumla
- Engage with the Business Development team to ensure compliance with Plan International and/or donor standards and timely reporting
- Manage the overall performance of partners under the Learn program at the district level
- Enhance partners' capacity and skills on data management, evidence capture, and reporting
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Education or relevant field
- At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in education and child protection
- Knowledge of local language and culture
- Ability to work in a multicultural team and in a challenging environment
2. Project Coordinator- MHM-friendly School- WASH
Location: Kalikot Type of contract: Fixed-term (until April 2024)
Responsibilities:
- Oversee and ensure high-quality delivery of the MEAN/1-friendly school-WASH project in selected schools of Sannitriveni and Narharinath Rural Municipalities of Kalikot district
- Ensure compliance with Plan International and/or donor standards and timely reporting
- Manage the overall performance of partners
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Water Supply and Sanitation or relevant field
- At least 3 years of experience in project management, preferably in WASH and MHM
- Knowledge of local language and culture
- Ability to work in a multicultural team and in a challenging environment
3. Media and Communication Officer -Short Term
Location: Country Office Type of contract: Fixed-term (until July 2023)
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate Plan International's media appearances and support media communication activities
- Ensure effective communication of Plan's accomplishments and stories in accordance with the communication strategy, national priorities, and global guidelines to wider audiences through media channels
- Provide technical guidance in organizing events run or supported by Plan International and act as a focal person for public information
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, or a relevant field
- At least 2 years of experience in media and communications
- Knowledge of local media landscape and culture
- Ability to work in a multicultural team and in a fast-paced environment
