Application Notice for Posts to Be Filled Through Open and Inclusive Competition for Teaching Service (Faculty) and Administrative Service (Staff)
As per Rule 3.2 of Chapter 3 of the Rajarshi Janak University Teacher and Staff Service Regulations, 2075, permanent appointment must be made through open and inclusive competitive selection for various posts under Teaching Service (Faculty) and Administrative Service (Staff).
Therefore, eligible Nepali citizens are invited to apply online from 2082/10/02 to 2082/11/07 (with double fee payment allowed up to 2082/11/14) through the Online Application section of the University Service Commission website: vacancy.rju.edu.np/
The online form can be filled from 2082/11/11. Applications received after the deadline and applications not submitted as per procedure will not be processed.

1) Application Fee

The fee must be paid through the online system. For candidates applying under inclusive groups as well, an additional 20% fee will be charged per additional group.
Candidates may submit applications by paying double fee as a late fee up to 7 days from the date after the application deadline. Once paid, the fee will not be refunded.
2) Age Limit
-
Associate Professor: Not exceeding 50 years
-
Deputy Professor: Completed 21 years and not exceeding 45 years
-
Administrative Service (Officer level): Completed 21 years and not exceeding 40 years
-
Administrative Service (Assistant level): Completed 18 years and not exceeding 40 years
However, the age limit shall not apply to currently serving teachers under university contract and fund contract services, and to currently serving staff working on temporary or contract basis.
3) Educational Qualification

Associate Professor:
-
Must have completed a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least second division from a recognized university or educational institution and obtained a PhD degree
-
Must have at least 8 years of teaching experience as a full-time teacher at the Bachelor level or above in any university or educational institution
-
Must have published at least 5 research articles in subject-related national and international journals falling under Category Ka, Kha, or Ga as per Chapter 6, Clause 15 (Cha) of the Rajarshi Janak University Employee Appointment and Promotion Recommendation Regulations, 2076

Among the published articles, the candidate must be the Principal Author in at least 2 articles

Must have obtained a Master’s degree in the relevant subject with at least second division from a recognized university or educational institution

Must have passed Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from a recognized educational institution

4) Validity of Qualification, Experience, and Service Period
Educational qualification, experience, and service period obtained after the advertisement is published will not be recognized.
5) License or Council Registration (If Required)
If a license is required to engage in the profession as per the candidate’s academic qualification, or if registration in a council related to the profession is required, the license and registration certificate (with renewal) must be attached.
6) Documents to Upload (PDF) with Online Application

7) Equivalency for Degrees Obtained from Universities Other Than Those Established Under Nepali Law
A certified copy of the equivalency certificate issued by the authorized body must be submitted for academic degrees obtained from universities other than those established under prevailing Nepali law. Otherwise, the application form will not be accepted.
8) Subject Verification (If Postgraduate Degree Does Not Match the Applied Subject)
If the applicant’s postgraduate degree appears to conflict with the subject for which the application is being submitted, a subject verification letter from the concerned Dean’s Office must be included.
9) Inclusive Category (Adivasi/Janajati) Document Requirement
For Adivasi/Janajati candidates: if the caste/ethnicity is listed under the Nepal Adivasi/Janajati Upliftment National Foundation Act, certification based on that list; however, if more than one surname exists within the listed caste, a document certified by the Chief District Officer, based on the recommendation of the head of the concerned local level, confirming the surname within the listed caste must be submitted.
10) Other Provisions Related to Eligibility
Other eligibility-related provisions shall be as per Rule 3.4 of the Rajarshi Janak University Teacher and Staff Service Regulations, 2075.
