Secretariat of the General Manager Recommendation Committee of Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS), Government of Nepal, Ministry of Communications and Information Technology invites application for the post of General Manager.
For the post of General Manager of Rastriya Samachar Samiti (RSS - National News Agency), Nepali citizens with qualifications, experience, and age group are eligible to participate in the competitive selection process. This notice has been published within 8 (eight) days from the date of publication (the next day after the last day of public holiday) to submit the application to the Secretariat of this RSS (Institute Coordination Branch), Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, Singha Durbar. Details:
- Nepali citizen.
- Age: 30 years completed and not exceeding 65 years.
- Passed at least bachelor level in any subject.
- Worked as the Editor-in-Chief, Editor, Publisher, or Manager of a media outlet registered by law, or worked at the academic or policy-making level related to mass media, or at least seven years of experience in journalism and mass media.
- In the service of any government service or public institution, authority, board, committee, commission, establishment, or public company, and in the case of a retired person, at least gazetted second class or ninth level.
- Not punished for violating the journalist's code of conduct.
- Not disqualified from being appointed as per prevailing Nepali law.
Interested persons who have reached the qualification will have to disclose the following details and submit an application to the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology along with the certified documents from their own signature.
(A) open application to be appointed,
(B) a copy of the certificate of Nepali citizenship,
(C) personal details,
(D) Copy of educational qualification certificate, (if it is an educational degree obtained from a foreign educational institution)

- Copy of Experience Certificate,
- Sealed business action plan of 1500 to 3000 words typed in the Nepali language (in font size of Unicode Kalimati 11 or Preeti 16),
(G) Two recent photographs,
(H) Self-declaration that no permanent immigrant license of any foreign country has been obtained
(I) A copy of any other documents related to the post to be applied.
The RSS will evaluate the candidate on the basis of the professional action plan, presentation of an action plan, and interview.
